You guys, I am the absolute worst at keeping up with any kind of plan, but especially devotional plans. That’s why I never stay on a specific diet very long. I’m much better at simply “eating healthy” and setting general goals about portions and getting veggies in etc. I fill out an entire blog editorial calendar month after month and by the end of the month, my blog barely reflects the original calendar at all. And don’t even get me started on a reading plan. The only time I ever read what I say I’m going to when I’m going to is when I have to for the blog. Like if I’m part of a blog tour or launch team.

Speaking of being part of a launch team, I’m on the launch team for Madison Weaver’s new e-book devotional, Becoming One: A 30 Day Devotional for Wives. As I mentioned before, I am terrible with keeping up with a daily devotional. So I received the e-book at the end of March and fully intended to work through the 30 days during the 30 days of April. Well, as of now, I’ve barely made it through day 8. Though I blame part of that on having to read 4 marriage related books last month!

Anyway, all this to say I haven’t finished Madison’s devotional yet, BUT today is launch day! That’s right, Becoming One is officially for sale today. It is priced at $5.99 but TODAY ONLY you can get it for 20% off with coupon code “launchday”.

I repeat: TODAY ONLY get Becoming One: A 30 Day Devotional for Wives for only $4.79 by clicking here and using code “launchday” at checkout.

Here is the book description:

Are you seeking to truly become one flesh with your husband? Are you looking for a deeper, more intimate connection with God? This devotional is designed to help you do just that. Having problems with family issues, finances or your sex life? This book will help you learn how to break through barriers such as those that are keeping intimacy and oneness out of your marriage by seeking the answers in God’s word.

While I haven’t finished every day of the devotional, I can tell you that there is a lot of wisdom in there. I love Madison’s format of sharing scripture, than a bit of her own wisdom explaining the concept, then a prayer, and lastly a journal prompt.

I think that’s party of why it’s taking me so long to get through it. Because even though I can access the e-book through the kindle app on my phone, I don’t want to just read it anywhere I am, whenever I have a little time. I want to take my time and delve in with a journal and Bible (or at least a Bible app) next to me. Am I the only one who still prefers a physical Bible and journal to an app and notes section on my phone?

Anyway, I digress. This devotional covers a lot of topics in marriage and the running theme throughout the book is, believe it or not, becoming one with your spouse through each of these topics. Some of the topics include, making time with God a priority, praying for your husband and yourself as a wife, submission, communication, dating each other, sex, expectations, love languages, work-life balance, finances, household responsibilities, trust, forgiveness, envy and anxiety just to name a few.

I just went through the table of contents to give you that list and I am really excited for some of the topics later in the book that I haven’t gotten to… So… I’m going to leave you there and go read some more!

Have you ever done a daily devotional specifically for wives? Are you looking for your next devotional or just some inspiration as a wife? I highly encourage you to pick up Becoming One today at 20% off (using code “launchday”).
Thanks for reading!
