Thankful Thursday: Veterans

**Oops! Never published this. I was a little busy this weekend.**

Memorial Day was Monday so today, for Thankful Thursday, I am thankful for…

Veterans of the United States Armed Forces
Memorial Day is a holiday set aside particularly for remembering men and women who died serving our country. I am truly grateful to these outstanding people. I cannot even fathom going to war to fight for my country. I love my country but I don’t think I could [willingly] put my life in danger in a country I don’t know and defend myself, my fellow soldiers, and ultimately my freedoms and my government. These people are the true heroes in our world. The are selfless. They care more about their country and her citizens than their own life. That takes a special person. Those who died, didn’t even get a chance to see the difference their dedication made in our society.
So I am thankful for veterans who are still out there and maybe feel a little under appreciated and I am thankful for those who didn’t make it and are no longer with us. Thank you for all you do!
