Best & Worst Marriage Advice I Received

Best & Worst Marriage Advice I Received

Hey guys, I’m Brooklyn from A Little Too Jolley. When I got engaged, it seemed like EVERYONE had marriage advice to give me. So today I’m here to share with you the 3 best pieces of advice I received and the 3 worst pieces of advice I received.
WORST

1. Never go to sleep angry.
This might be different for everyone, but if I’m super cranky and irrational, staying up late and arguing won’t change that. Once I get some good sleep I always am more rational about disagreements.
2. Put him first.
Now don’t confuse this with putting him above yourself, (see best advice I received) but who should we put first in our lives? God. And then our spouse. If you aren’t taking time to talk to God and read his scriptures, how can you be the best wife possible? C.S. Lewis said, “When I have learned to love God more than my earthly dearest, I shall love my earthly dearest better than I do now.”
3. If he loves you, he’ll know exactly what you want without him telling you.
Unfortunately, men aren’t mind readers. They don’t always get when you say, “Doesn’t pizza sound good for dinner?” that you actually mean, “If you don’t pick up pizza for us tonight I’ll give you the silent treatment all night.” We have to TELL HIM what we want.
Now come over HERE to see my the 3 best pieces of marriage advice I ever received.
