Fall Watch List 2015

Fall Watch List 2015

Well, it’s that time of year again!

Time for all our TV shows to come back on. And time to discover some new ones. I wrote a post listing our favorites two years ago, but not last year, for some reason. A few have changed since then, so lets take a look, shall we?

RETURNING

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Premiers September 29th on ABC
The missions of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.” (IMDB)

I think this may be my favorite of all the shows we watch. We’ve watched from the beginning and is so fantastic! I love how the Marvel Cinematic Universe is so intertwined. The show takes a break when one of the movies comes out, and when the show comes back, they reference things from the movie! Anyway, there was a huge cliff hanger at the end of last season! AND I’m super excited to see how Daisy turns out this season!

Once Upon a Time – Premiers September 27th on ABC
“A woman with a troubled past is drawn to a town in Maine where fairy tales are to be believed.” (IMDB)

This is probably my second favorite. I started watching season one on Netflix a few years ago when season two was about to premier. I watched the Pilot and then Pearson happened to watch the second episode with me and surprisingly loved it. We caught up on season two before we got too far behind and haven’t missed an episode since! It’s so intriguing. I love it! I can’t wait to watch #DarkSwan unfold this season and I’m super excited to meet Merida from Brave!

Supernatural – Premiers October 7th on The CW
“Two brothers follow their father’s footsteps as “hunters” fighting evil supernatural beings of many kinds including monsters, demons, and gods that roam the earth.” (IMDB)

Ok, we are probably some of the most faithful Supernatural fans still out there! This show is starting season 11 this fall! Pearson and I watched the first 6 seasons on Netflix in the first 3 months of our marriage. Yeah. Maybe I shouldn’t admit that out loud. We had just moved here and didn’t really know anybody yet and Pearson wasn’t deep into his studies and long hours of working. Anyway, since then we’ve been hooked. It’s so good! I mean, obviously it’s good if it’s been going strong for 11 seasons!

Sleepy Hollow – Premiers October 1st on FOX
“Ichabod Crane is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers.” (IMDB)

We started watching this from the very beginning but it just wasn’t that great. But the first season’s finale was FANTASTIC! They really did a good job with it and it *almost* made up for the rest of the season. So we stuck with it through season two which wasn’t so great either… until the finale! So we’ll be watching again this fall. Hopefully the whole season will be good this time!

Gotham – Premiers September 21st on FOX
“The story behind Commissioner James Gordon’s rise to prominence in Gotham City in the years before Batman’s arrival.” (IMDB)

When Gotham premiered last year, I wasn’t so sure about it. But naturally, Pearson was excited. So we gave it a try and let me just tell you, it sucked me in! I can’t wait for season two!

The Big Bang Theory – Premiers September 21st on CBS
“A woman who moves into an apartment across the hall from two brilliant but socially awkward physicists shows them how little they know about life outside of the laboratory.” (IMDB)

Okay, wasn’t this the craziest season finale for a sit-com like, ever? Okay maybe not ever. But for TBBT for sure! I’ve been dying all summer! Ugh!

Dancing With the Stars – Premiered September 14th on ABC
U.S. reality show based on the British series “Strictly Come Dancing,” where celebrities partner up with professional dancers and compete against each other in weekly elimination rounds to determine a winner.” (IMDB)

I wasn’t going to watch this season because nobody I really care too much about is competing. (I’ve watched the last 3 seasons for Candace, Sadie, and Willow – Who all happened to dance with Mark Ballas). But I watched on Monday and I’m hooked! And again, my favorite is Mark’s partner, Alexa PenaVega! Go #TeamBeaga!

NEW

Grandfathered – Premiers September 29th on FOX
“A confirmed bachelor discovers he’s a dad–and a grandfather.” (IMDB)

John Stamos. ‘Nuff said. No, but seriously. This looks so good! I’m super excited!

The Muppets – Premiers September 22nd on ABC
“The Muppets return to prime-time with a contemporary, documentary-style show. For the first time ever, a series will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires.” (IMDB)

I was a bit skeptical when I first heard there was going to be a new Muppets show, but when I found out that it was going to be documentary style and would go into the Muppets’ personal lives, I was intrigued! I love when shows and movies create an entire world (like the Marvel Cinematic Universe) and this is sort of like that. I was bummed Kermit and Miss Piggy split, but it will be interesting to see them working together on this after the break up.

So there you have it: My Fall Watch List

I’m super excited to get back into all of these. Summer break is always too long to wait between seasons. But then again, maybe binge watching shows on Netflix has ruined me.

Are you watching any of this? What shows are you excited for this fall?
