My Hair

My Hair

Hey guys. A lot has happened over the last week or so. Of course, the biggest thing that happened was Pearson graduated with his PhD!

Other than that, we went to a few Christmas parties and a going away party for ourselves, we hosted a bunch of family for a few days, we had Christmas with the family that was in town and we took some of that family around Columbus. Oh and I slipped on some icy steps and fell, resulting in a root canal and crown on my front top tooth!

But before all that, I dyed my hair purple!

This is something I’ve been wanting to do fo a long time. Like, a really long time. But I was always in school or working a job where I wasn’t allowed to have unnatural hair. But my last day of work was a couple fridays ago. And the next tuesday, I sat in a chair for 6 hours while Erin from Ulta worked her magic!

Aside from dying my hair purple, I’ve also been trying to grow it out. I googled how to make hair grow faster and using oil on your hair was one suggestion. Shortly after that, I was contacted by Maple Holistics about reviewing their tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner. Coincidence? Hmm.

*I received Maple Holistics’ Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and Conditioner free in exchange for review. All opinions are mine alone.*

I honestly didn’t think it would make a huge difference in length and didn’t really see much day to day. But I took a selfie at Pearson’s thesis defense and noticed how long my hair was. My mom and dad both also noticed how long it was. As in, it was the first thing my mom noticed when she saw the picture. And now when I compare that picture with pics from before I got the shampoo, WOW!

Anyway, the shampoo and conditioner smell awesome! The shampoo smells like trees. A little sappy, if that’s a word. The conditioner smells more like menthol. They both open up my senses in the shower and they are so refreshing! It also makes my hair super shiny. And I love the small size of the bottles. They don’t take up a lot of space in my suitcase. Which is important for while we’re traveling over the next month! Not to mention, it fits well on the shower shelf. Tell me I’m not the only one who always drops everything in the shower!

And the best part? It’s sulfate free which means I can still use it safely on my colored hair!

Oh and here’s another great part! They have a free sample program! Sign up here to try some products at no cost at all while learning about this all natural, cruelty free company based in the U.S.

Head over to Maple Holistics and check them out!

So do you like my hair? Would you ever dye your hair a “fantasy color”? What color would you do?
