Thankful Thursday: Harding

Thankful Thursday: Harding

Today for Thankful Thursday, I am thankful for…
Harding University
As I have said before, I am very thankful for Harding. For my education, my friends, my teachers, my experiences and how my faith was shaped. Harding was such a blessing in so many ways.
I am thankful to the founders, the presidents, the board, everybody who helps run this place and makes it awesome.
I am thankful for the people who give money to scholarship funds to make it possible for some students to be there.
Believe it or not, I am thankful for the rules and that the motivation behind them is for the protection and morality of the students.
I am thankful for my sisters in Chi Omega Pi. I have an entire Thankful Thursday post dedicated to them here.
I am thankful that my club sisters, my friends, my dorm moms, and even my teachers were and still are my family. I could rely on any of them for anything.
I am thankful for all the fun, wholesome things to do and be involved with at Harding. For clubs, sports, movie showings, concerts, student government, charity fund raisers and so many more.

This week, however, I am most thankful for Spring Sing. I love Spring Sing. I loved it the one year I was involved in it and I missed it all the other years. It was so much fun to be a part of something so big and spectacular. I love dressing up and performing in front of people. Freshman year, when I performed, our show got 3rd place! I loved miracle week [the week of Spring Sing from Saturday to Saturday]. It really was amazing. I also love it when I am not part of the show. Spring Sing brings so many different people to campus from alumni, parents, and grandparents to prospective high school students. Campus and the town of Searcy are buzzing for the weekend. There is so much excitement. Children get a thrill seeing performers walk across campus in their costume. The winning shows get a check to go to their choice of charity. It is just an all around positive, uplifting, fun weekend. And best of all, this year, it gives us an excuse to go to Harding and see friends, family, and the campus we love and miss so much!

I am so excited and I am posting this from my phone in the car on the way to Searcy!!!!! Woot woot!

Thanks for reading.
