To have and to hold…

To have and to hold…

I just love weddings. Don’t you? They are always so positive. Such a celebration. A celebration of love. A celebration of new life. Or at least a new phase of life. They represent something so much bigger than one day: Marriage. A promise. A promise to God and to each other to love each other for life. That is a long time. It is such a beautiful promise.

I take you to be my wife,
to have and to hold,
from this day forward,
for better or for worse,
for richer or for poorer,
in sickness and in health,
until death do us part.

Beautiful.

Love is a choice. Not a feeling. When two people come together in marriage they are promising to choose to love the other every day. Even when they don’t feel like it.

I currently have 4 save-the-dates on my fridge and another couple in my inbox. How exciting is that? So much love is in the air! It just makes me so happy! For all of you getting married this year, I hope your marriage is as wonderful as ours is. I am praying for you. God bless! Also, don’t hesitate to come to me for advice since I am such an expert after 8 months of marriage! 😛

Thanks for reading.
