Being Present – Marriage & Relationship Goals {link up}

It’s time for the last Marriage & Relationship Goals post of the year!

Last month, I wanted to be thankful for Pearson by keeping a thankful list and to be intentional about quality time. Well, I did keep a great list! That list includes things like the baby fever he got after we spent a weekend with friends and a baby in a cabin and the fact that he called me immediately when he was exasperated from hearing Christmas music on the radio on November 2nd.

As far as the quality time part… Well, we had a great Thanksgiving Vacation in which we spent 30-something hours of quality time together in the car. Other than that, there were a lot of late nights and Pearson went to a conference over a weekend so we didn’t have a whole lot of time to spend together, but we did go see MockingJay Part 2. And we even watched all three of the other Hunger Games movies leading up to it.

This month, as with every December, my goal is to be present and enjoy the holiday season with my husband. Here’s last year’s post and here’s the year before. It’s one of my fears every December that the whole month will pass and I’ll have been stressed the entire time. This year, I think it really will be a problem so I’m going to really try to spend time with Pearson when we’re both home. He works a lot and I’ll be spending a week in Georgia for work, but we’ll enjoy the rest of the time.
