If we were having coffee…

If we were having coffee…

If we were having coffee… I’d probably talk a lot about how fun our Thanksgiving was and how much I’m looking forward to Christmas. BUT I don’t want to wish this time in between away. I love this season and I want to enjoy every minute of it.

If we were having coffee… I’d continue the conversation by mentioning that, though I’m super excited for Christmas, I’m definitely NOT excited for winter. Luckily, and surprisingly, it hasn’t snowed here yet! Knock on wood.

If we were having coffee… I’d mention how frustrating it is that people like Kaley Cuoco and her ex husband and Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton can’t stay together. Both of these couples were people I thought were very in love and the way they’ve talked it seemed their spouses were very important to them. No, I don’t know their personal situations, but it always makes me sad when marriages split up. Yes, marriage is hard. But, in most situations, it’s worth a little work. And, also in most situations, it only takes a little work to make it last.

If we were having coffee… I would also complain about grocery shopping. I HATE grocery shopping. Especially during the holidays. Ugh it’s the worst.

If we were having coffee… I would share my crazy December schedule with you! We got back from Thanksgiving on Monday November 30th at 12:15 am… I had to work that morning. Then, this past weekend, I had 3 Christmas parties and a community theatre show to go to. I’m not complaining, they were fun, but time consuming and tiring. In fact, I woke up with a terrible cold on Sunday. This coming Thursday, I’m leaving on a 6 am flight to head to Georgia for a work trip. I’ll be there till Tuesday the 15th. That trip will include 4 days of work, an office Christmas party, and a good friend’s wedding. When I get home late Tuesday night, I’ll then have 3 days to clean my apartment, finish baking and wrapping and packing before we leave for our Christmas vacation. Saturday the 19th we’ll leave for Birmingham where we’ll spend 2 nights with my brother. Then we’ll pop over to Atlanta to spend a few days with Pearson’s family and then a day with my family before driving 12 hours to Arkansas, to see my grandparents there. We’ll drive the 14 hours home on Monday the 28th and my best friend from college will be bringing her husband and 2 dogs to visit on the 29th… Yep.

If we were having coffee… I’d follow up that whole spiel with this… I will be taking a break from blogging over the next few weeks. I hope you all will understand and still love me. I still plan to read all my favorite blogs daily and I’ll still be active on social media (instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook). And just because I won’t be publishing any new post, doesn’t mean I won’t be working on this blog behind the scenes. I have some big plans for 2016 and I can’t wait! So I’ll take this time to focus on spending the holidays with my family. I’ll try to get Helene’s blogging course: Quit Your Job to Blog completed and I’ll be working on revamping everything for a fresh start in January!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you not to worry. I won’t leave you hanging! If you want to read some awesome holiday content from me, I’ve listed all my past holiday related posts below. Or at least the best ones. I’ll also be promoting these on social media throughout the month. Enjoy!
