Well folks, the holidays are officially over. You’re holiday vacation/celebrations were probably over several days before mine. But you see, 2 years ago my BFF from college and I decided to start a New Years tradition. Every year we alternate visiting each other to celebrate the New Year. For New Years 2014, she and her husband came here to Columbus and we were snowed in the whole time. Pearson and I spent New Years 2015 in Oxford, MS. And this year, they came here once again. But this time, we were able to get out and do stuff so we packed every day as full as possible.

• 1 – the number of nights spent at my parent’s house
• 2 – the number of lunches we had at Whataburger
• 2 – the number of Dillard’s we went to looking for Christmas china with Ashley and Taylor
• 3 – the number of times we saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens

• 3 – the number of book stores we visited with Ashley and Taylor
• 3 – the number of malls we visited with Ashley and Taylor
• 4 – the number of homes we stayed at – including our own.
• 4 – the number of nights spent at my brother’s apartment

This was our 5th and final Christmas of the year. It was yesterday with my brother in his grown up apartment. He couldn’t come to Mom and Dad’s for Christmas because he had to work his grown up job for ABC 33/40 in Birmingham. • 5 – the number of ounces of cough syrup that I took
• 6 – the number of Christmasses we had
• 26 – the number of hours spent in the car
• 29 – the number of gifts we gave – including to each other

• 50 – the number of tons that the Vulcan statue in Birmingham weighs. We visited it.
• 60 – the number of minutes we spent in IKEA
• 76 – the number of chapters read in multiple books
• 90 – the number of years Sloss Furnace produced iron for Birmingham. We visited it.

My little brother took us to Sloss Furnace today! They produced iron for nearly 90 years and gave rise to Birmingham, AL. It’s now national historic landmark that you can tour. Pretty cool. #MaugeriHolidays2k15
