Monthly Goals for May {2016}

Monthly Goals for May {2016}

Happy May! Wow that sounds weird! We are in the fifth month of the year. After next month we’ll be half way through 2016. Not to freak you out or anything. Oi with the poodles already! (If you get that reference, you are awesome).

Alright enough of my chit-chat. Lets get to my goals for May, shall we?

Word of the year:

In case you missed it, my word of the year is “Present.” I did not write in my journal every night like I wanted to last month. I want to continue to try doing that. I also am going to have an entire weekend unplugged. I think that will be this coming weekend.

Spiritual:

I didn’t quite finish Fervent so I want to finish that this week. I am also going to memorize Proverbs 31:10-31 this month!

Physical:

I will complete the 21 Day Fix that I started 2 weeks ago. I am part of a group on Facebook that just started the 21 days yesterday so I will also continue with them for at least a total of 5 weeks. If you aren’t familiar with the 21DF, it includes a meal plan and workout schedule and plays on the fact that it takes 21 days to break a bad habit.

Mental:

I did not finish reading The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings. But I am hoping to give myself more time to read this month. I am tweaking my LotR goal just a tad. Instead of finishing all 3 books before June, I am going to finish them all by the end of June. I’m just giving myself an extra month.

Marriage:

We did pretty well with the goal of weekly dates again. I am going to continue that goal and I’m also going to put my phone completely away in the evenings when Pearson is home. I mean like in the other room, out of sight.

Blog:

Last month, I did not quite get my page views up to where they were in January and February, but I came close. I’m keeping that goal for this month but I also want to get my twitter followers up to 1000. I’m sitting at 818 right now so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Shameless Plug: If you don’t already follow me on Twitter, I’d really appreciate it if you would do that to help me reach my goal!

Other:

  • Keep up with our budgets on Mint.com (didn’t do so well last month)
  • Only eat out on weekends
  • Wash all dishes immediately after a meal or the next day at the very latest
So tell me, what are you goals for this month?
Thanks for reading!
