Monthly Goals for February {2017}

Monthly Goals for February {2017}

Happy February! Yes I know yesterday was the first day of February and I actually shared a post yesterday, but I was too focused on it being the first day of #LoveBlog2017 that I didn’t talk about the rest of what I have going on this month.

It’s going to be a busy one. On top of #LoveBlog2017, I’m also hosting a Super Bowl party (because the Falcons are gonna win!!), celebrating Valentine’s Day and Pearson’s birthday, seeing two touring Broadway shows, and setting a bunch of goals.

So without further adieu, lets get to those goals. Starting with a recap from January.

January Recap:

Word of the Year:

My word of the year for 2017 will be… Drum Roll Please… Confidence.

I want more confidence in myself. At work, as a friend, as a lover, as a lovable person who brings value to people’s lives.

I want more confidence in God to take care of me and guide my life. To give me what I need to get through this life.

I want more confidence in Pearson. To love me like he promised. I want to trust that he’s telling the truth when he tells me he loves me and that I’m beautiful and a great person and fun to be around.

Spiritual:

  • Attend Church every Sunday and Wednesday this month.
  • Pray with Pearson before bed every night.

Physical:

  • Drink 80+ ounces of water every day.
  • Work through the Country Heat program again. I didn’t do it every day but I did pretty well.
  • Only eat out on weekends – and be conscious of what I eat then.

Mental (affiliate links):

Marriage:

  • Go on one intentional date per week and we can’t repeat any this whole month.

Blog:

  • Publish at least 2 posts per week.
  • Read through the instarevealed.com guides and start to step up my Instagram game.
  • Update my about page and my Amazon store.
  • I also updated my sitemap, contact/sponsor page, and store pages as well as updated the look of my tabs in general and truncated my blog posts.

Work:

  • Take initiative and look for work when there isn’t anything instead of wasting time.

Home (I added this section after publishing my January goals):

  • Un-decorate for Christmas
  • Deep clean the kitchen
  • Keep up with the dishes

30×30 (I also added this section after publishing my January goals):

  • Stick to our budget. We’ve been pretty terrible about that for the last few months (this is in the 30×30 list because several of my 30×30 items involve saving money).
  • All my “physical” goals could also be in this category.
  • My “mental” goals could also be here.
  • Keep up with our German lessons on DuoLingo.
So I didn’t do too terrible. About 50-50 again. Here’s to making this month better!

February:

Word of the Year (confidence):

  • I want to gain confidence in my hosting abilities and gain pride in my home. We are hosting a Super Bowl party on Sunday for Pearson’s lab mates. #RiseUp #GoFalcons

Spiritual:

  • Attend Church every Sunday and Wednesday this month.
  • Read the books of Ruth and Esther. (Doesn’t have to be every day. Doesn’t have to be a devotional. I just want to read the books of Ruth and Esther this month).

Physical:

  • Drink 80+ ounces of water every day.
  • Do Country Heat as well as 21 Day Fix Extreme 4 days per week.
  • Only eat out on weekends – and be conscious of what I eat then.

Marriage:

  • Go on one intentional date per week and we can’t repeat any this whole month.
  • Re-take the Love Languages quiz, discuss our love languages and how they’ve changed, work on speaking each other’s language.

Blog:

  • Write and schedule all my #LoveBlog2017 posts ahead of time (even if only a day ahead).
  • Go through all my posts and put them on Stumble Upon. I think I stopped doing this back in October so there shouldn’t be too many posts to get through.
  • Schedule all the pins I have on my private “To Be Scheduled” Pinterest board.

Work:

  • Take initiative and look for work when there isn’t anything instead of wasting time.

Home:

  • Deep clean the kitchen (before the Super Bowl party – I have 3 days)
  • Deep clean our bathroom (before the Super Bowl party – I have 3 days)
  • Organize the office
  • Keep to a meal plan starting next week

30×30

  • Stick to our budget. We’ve been pretty terrible about that for the last few months (this is in the 30×30 list because several of my 30×30 items involve saving money).
  • All my “physical” goals could also be in this category.
  • My “reading” goals could also be here.
  • Keep up with our German lessons on DuoLingo.
So those are my goals for this month. It’s going to be a busy one but I think I can do it! What are your goals for the month? Thanks for reading!
