Monthly Goals for March {2017}

Monthly Goals for March {2017}

Happy March, everyone! Can you believe we’re in the third month of 2017? This year seems to be flying by! Hey, I’ll take that over how terrible last year was any day!

February was pretty busy for me. If you read my goals post last month, you know we hosted a Super Bowl party, I saw two touring Broadway shows, I co-hosted #LoveBlog2017, and much more!

This month will be much quieter. Really the only big event I’m looking forward to is the live action Beauty and the Beast!!! Oh and Spring. I’m excited for Spring.

Anyway, enough of my blabbering. Let’s get to those monthly goals, shall we?

February:

Word of the Year (confidence):

  • I want to gain confidence in my hosting abilities and gain pride in my home. We are hosting a Super Bowl party on Sunday for Pearson’s lab mates. #RiseUp #GoFalcons

Spiritual:

  • Attend Church every Sunday and Wednesday this month.
  • Read the books of Ruth and Esther. (Doesn’t have to be every day. Doesn’t have to be a devotional. I just want to read the books of Ruth and Esther this month). I read Ruth.

Physical:

  • Drink 80+ ounces of water every day.
  • Do Country Heat as well as 21 Day Fix Extreme 4 days per week. I did this about half of the time.
  • Only eat out on weekends – and be conscious of what I eat then.

Marriage:

  • Go on one intentional date per week and we can’t repeat any this whole month. – Super Bowl party (plus preparing for that), indoor camp out, celebrated Valentine’s Day, celebrated Pearson’s birthday, Lord of the Rings movie marathon.
  • Re-take the Love Languages quiz, discuss our love languages and how they’ve changed, work on speaking each other’s language.

Blog:

  • Write and schedule all my #LoveBlog2017 posts ahead of time (even if only a day ahead).
  • Go through all my posts and put them on Stumble Upon. I think I stopped doing this back in October so there shouldn’t be too many posts to get through. I almost caught up.
  • Schedule all the pins I have on my private “To Be Scheduled” Pinterest board.

Work:

  • Take initiative and look for work when there isn’t anything instead of wasting time.

Home:

  • Deep clean the kitchen (before the Super Bowl party – I have 3 days)
  • Deep clean our bathroom (before the Super Bowl party – I have 3 days)
  • Organize the office
  • Keep to a meal plan starting next week

30×30:

  • Stick to our budget. We’ve been pretty terrible about that for the last few months (this is in the 30×30 list because several of my 30×30 items involve saving money).
  • All my “physical” goals could also be in this category.
  • My “reading” goals could also be here.
  • Keep up with our German lessons on DuoLingo.
Again, I think I accomplished about 50% of my goals. This month, I’m determined to do better. I think I’ll be able to because I’m a lot less busy this month and the weather is starting to look better which puts me in a good mood which makes it easier to accomplish goals.

March:

Word of the Year (confidence):

  • Journal every night before bed and include daily personal affirmations.

Spiritual:

  • Attend Church every Sunday and Wednesday this month.
  • Read the books of Esther.

Physical:

  • Drink 80+ ounces of water every day. – This has become a habit so this will be the last time it’s on here.
  • Do Country Heat as well as 21 Day Fix Extreme 4 days per week.
  • Only eat out on weekends – and be conscious of what I eat then.

Reading:

  • Read The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Marriage:

  • Go on one intentional date per week and we can’t repeat any this whole month.
  • Do my Couple Check-In every week this month.

Blog:

  • Post at least 3 times per week
  • Go through the Instarevealed Guides
  • Land at least one sponsored post
  • Finish StumbleUpon

Work:

  • Take initiative and look for work when there isn’t anything instead of wasting time.

Home:

  • Organize the office
  • Keep home clean (especially dishes)
  • Switch my closet to Spring and clean it out.

30×30:

  • Catch up with and stick to our budget. We’ve been pretty terrible about that for the last few months (this is in the 30×30 list because several of my 30×30 items involve saving money).
  • All my “physical” goals could also be in this category.
  • My “reading” goals could also be here.
  • Keep up with our German lessons on DuoLingo.

Lent:

  • I’m giving up drive-through for Lent. I wanted to give up fast food but wasn’t sure how to define “fast food.” When I thought about it, I realized that drive-throughs are my weakness. It’s so convenient to just zip through a drive-through when I’m hungry and it’s so bad for me. I’m not even tempted to eat fast food if I’m not going through the drive through. So, for Lent, I’m avoiding drive-throughs.
So those are my goals for this month. It’s going to be a busy one but I think I can do it! What are your goals for the month? Thanks for reading!
